Singer's room

This is what you see as you walk into singer's room from the master bedroom. Her window is missing the green shutter, and still needs something. As this room is next to the kitchen it is also where we keep our table. We pull it out when we all sit down to eat (and grab an extra chair).

Today we went to church, singer played the harp, and we became church members. Afterwards a gentleman took us out to lunch. The food was very good, and we enjoyed the company. This afternoon I read the newspaper, took a nap, and made phone calls to friends. Tomorrow we will start with a little school work. Also, I must get singer's transcript up to date this week. She may audition for an arts school next weekend, and we will need her grade information handy. The school is not a full time school. If she gets in she would still homeschool, but also take some vocal classes at the school.

There are so many choices that it will be hard to decide exactly what activities to participate in as the school year gears back up. For singer - should she be a part of the youth chorus or take classes at the school? How often should she take harp lessons, and what about harp ensemble? Should she volunteer at the zoo? For dancer - should she take just one basic ballet class a week or should she audition for a more advanced program that would require three classes a week? What about flute and piano lessons? For gamer we are still waiting to see what the recreation center will offer in the Fall. We have joined a homeschool group that seems pretty active. What do you participate in? Many of these activities are free but even then you have to count the cost in gas and time. What will hubby's schedule be like once he starts working? We only have one car. All of these things take prayer and careful consideration so that we can decide what is best for our family.
