Spelling Bee and AWANA
Today gamer and dancer participated in the spelling bee. Gamer got knocked out in round one with "zero" and dancer got knocked out in round two with "fickle." I was proud of them for trying! A couple of their friends were there that they hadn't seen in a long time because they moved about an hour away. Gamer and dancer were happy to see their friends. In the picture above from left to right is gamer, friend, friend's brother, and dancer. Gamer has had a little bit of a crush on the friend for a few years. Also, friend is the one that won the spelling bee in their age group! The funny spots on the picture are where I covered up their name tags. I prefer not to use their real names online. Tonight we went to AWANA at church, which is where we usually go on Wednesday nights. AWANA is a program that combines fun and games, with a lesson, and working through books to earn awards. Singer, gamer, and dancer have enjoyed AWANA since they were each three years old. The books involve a lot of memorizing Bible verses which they are all good at. Tonight at AWANA it was milk shake night which was a lot of fun. Imagine stirring several gallons of ice cream, milk, and flavoring in a plastic kitchen trash can (it was clean of course).
